Motorists are being provided with financial relief from insurance costs during this economic crisis brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic.
JN General Insurance Company (JNGI) is offering SHORTY BOGO, a 30-day free insurance with the purchase of a 30-day ‘Shorty’ short-term motor insurance policy. The offer is open to anyone seeking third party private and private commercial insurance coverage and is available now through August 31, 2020.
“SHORTY BOGO is one of the ways we are demonstrating to our customers that we care about them. We understand the challenges they are facing getting back on the road and restarting their economic lives. We want to assist them to keep their vehicles legally operating on the road, so that driving without insurance is a risk that no motorist has to take,” explained Chris Hind, general manager, JNGI.
“Hundreds of motorists have been accessing ‘Shorty’ insurance coverage for 30, 60 or 90 days since it was launched in February of this year. A 30-day ‘Shorty’ insurance can be obtained for as low as $2,500 per month. The SHORTY BOGO will take Jamaicans through the pressures of the back-to-school period and help them find a way during these most testing of times,” Hind pointed out.
‘Shorty’ is Jamaica’s first ‘No Touch’ insurance policy which requires no branch visit or the submission of hard copy documents, making it ideal for the social distancing requirements of the COVID-19 pandemic. It is available online at www.jngionline.com.
JUTA operators, who have been among the hardest hit in the economic fallout, are also being provided with 20 per cent off general motor insurance, while public sector workers are benefiting from up to 35 per cent off motor insurance policies.
