Dorothea Ziadie
Senior Manager – Technical Underwriting
Dorothea Ziadie, Senior Manager, Technical Underwriting, JN General Insurance (JNGI), is a seasoned professional in the insurance industry, with more than three decades of experience in various facets of insurance operations.
As a chartered insurance practitioner and having done a certificate course in Reinsurance at Munich Re, Germany, she possesses in-depth knowledge of insurance practices. She is also licensed by the Financial Services Commission to conduct all classes of insurance business. Her wealth of experience spans diverse areas, including insurance broking, business development, human resource, customer service, marketing, and employee benefits insurance.
She joined the former NEM Insurance Company (Jamaica) Ltd., now rebranded JN General Insurance Company, in January 2005, as Motor Manager. She was promoted to her current position at JNGI in 2023 where she has direct oversight of the non-motor and motor portfolios for the company.
Mrs Ziadie previously served as Senior Underwriting Manager at Key Insurance Company and Assistant Vice President at Spectrum Insurance Brokers.
In 1993, Mrs Ziadie earned an Associate of the Charter Insurance Institute (ACII)- General Insurance from the Chartered Insurance Institute of London, England.
In addition to her professional endeavors, Mrs Ziadie has been an active member of the Jamaica Association of General Insurers since 2008, where she contributes her insights and expertise to the advancement of the insurance sector in Jamaica.
